Nicolò Ciuccoli, M. Eng, Ph.D.

Nicolò Ciuccoli is currently a PostDoc researcher and a contract professor at the Università Politecnica delle Marche. In July 2016, he participated in the Student Autonomous Underwater Vehicles Challenge – Europe (SAUC-E) in La Spezia, Italy, at the NATO Undersea Research Centre (NURC), where the submitted bio-inspired project won the Innovation Award. During his PhD, he worked on navigation algorithms, vision algorithms for industrial systems and submarine robotics. His main research activities include navigation, guidance and control of autonomous vehicles, health sensors for divers, industrial systems, automation and modelling of the wastewater treatment plants.
